Mathusalos (singular Mathusal) are Men that do not have the potential to use magic.

Mathusal means "Natural" (Mathusalos is the plural, "Naturals") in Noralar.

Terminology

This terminology is distinct: those who possess the ability to learn magic, whether they choose to learn how to use it or not, may be classified as najiros or jevrethor. Although jevrethor are fairly distinct from the average Man, due to their unique eye colors, it is not always obvious if someone is a mathusal or a naji. Because of this, a Man may think of himself/herself as a mathusal (when he/she is really a naji, but is simply not aware of it) and vice versa.

Althas

In Althas society, the term is generally use in an elitest nature: to be a najiros or jevrethor is generally considered a curse.
