Explanation
Seasons of the Year
Maelan | Noralar | Old Maelan | Explanation |
---|---|---|---|
Sowing | Shovain | Saewet | Begins during the middle of the cold season, through to its end, and into the season of regrowth. The time to sow the crops to prepare for the Reaping season. |
Reaping | Seähain | Geríp | Takes place during the hottest time of the season. The time to reap the crops and prepare for the Fallowing season. |
Fallowing | Vrallofain | Fealh | Begins near the End of the Year and moves into the beginning of the New Year. Begins with the falling of leaves until the middle of the cold season. The cold season means the Farm Fields fallow (become barren) and Men must live off of what they reaped the previous season. |
