The Gorandi (singular Gorandan) were a race of Men that came from the Gorandel region in Althas. The Gorandi built the Anointed kingdom of Gorandel.
After the Gorandel kingdom fell in the War of Calamities, the remnant people were renamed to the Vonim.
The meaning for the words Gorandan and Gorandi are unknown, as they come from the now extinct Celestial language.
