Astýran Bealdor is the first, and founding, King of Thenodar. At the time of the Sundered Order period, he is 39 years old.
Astýran means "to guide, control" and Bealdor means to "hero, prince" in Old Maelan, Bealdor having been a title given to Astýran after slaying a Helrúna and becoming King of Thenodar.
History
Early life
Born in the vassal state of Mundríce ... [WIP]
Astýran eventually became a Captain in Mundríce's army. It is here that he became close friends with seven warriors in his battalion.
Helrúna Attack
In 336 RK, a Helrúna came out from the depths of the Ísbrim and attacked the city of Muthrand. After laying waste to the port city, the people of Mundríce feared that the creature may turn it's attention to them next. They sent quick word to Anorthile, hoping that would send aid to defend the city, but no one came ...
Just as the people feared, the Nomshethair did turn it's attention towards their city. The Helrúna made it's way across the Thenodar river and began it's attack on the city. Many had already fled in fear, except for Astýran and his seven other warrior companions, who stayed to fight the Helrúna. Although the beast was eventually slain, all of Astýran's companions fell in the battle.
After learning of Astýran's victory over the Helrúna, the people of Mundríce made him King.
Astýran, in his distraught, took it upon himself to adopt Glisian, the daughter of one of his companions.
