Arísan is the capital city of the Thenodar kingdom.
Arísan means "rise up, rise again" in Old Maelan. The city was first known as Esomjathi ("Irongate" in Noralar) when it was part of the Narthendar kingdom, then was renamed to Mundríce ("Guardian Realm" in Old Maelan) when it was the city-state of the same name, then to Vaseb ("Ward" in Noralar) when it was part of the Mosvaseb protectorate, and now to its current name.
