'''Kingsword''' is a language created by the [[Lore:Man|Men]] of [[Lore:Jevreth|Jevreth]].

==History==
In 416 MA, the Anointed Kings decide that, with [[Lore:Noralar|Noralar’s]] decline, they should create a new naming convention that would create names, based on the early Maelan language (which would later become known as [[Lore:Old Maelan|Old Maelan]]), for them and their heirs. The new, loose system is named Kingsword. This Maelan-inspired system gains popularity over time and overtakes Noralar as the main naming convention of those of the Anointed lines.

Not all in the Anointed line of Kings follow the Kingsword naming conventions however. Some will still use Noralar and even Old Maelan.

==How it works==

<div class="info">Their is no true "formal" system to the Kingsword naming conventions. Simply take an [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/English_language English] word, change around a few letters, and you now have a Kingsword name.

In the context of the Althas setting, it is simply explained that the mechanics to the Kingsword's language and naming conventions are a secret kept only to the Anointed lines.</div>
