Lore:Vasomi
The Vasomi are an order of scholarly warriors set up to guard the Academies and Temples of the various Anointed kingdoms.
Vasomi means "Warriors of The One" in Lore:Noralar
History
In 536 MA, soon after the Jevrethor Controversy, an issue arises within the Academy and Temple in Driesefair. The Academy and Temple does not agree with the decision of the King of Driesefair concerning the Jevrethor. However, the King threatens to stop supplying royal guards to the Temple and Academy at Ecretei.
An emergency council of all the Temples and Academies in Althas is called and it is decided that, in order to maintain autonomy, the Academies and Temples in Althas must have their own protectors and individuals capable of carrying out certain missions pertaining to them.
Criterion
The following are requirements that the Vasomi must meet:
- Members cannot simultaneously be serving in any Kingdom’s military.
- Each Member must be of exceptional martial skill
- Each member must pass three tests covering basic moral and philosophical doctrines.
